Teaches students the skills to perform a variety of blood collection methods and analytical tests using proper techniques and universal precautions.

Introduces the theory and practical application of routine testing and special hematology procedures and presents red blood cell function, hematopoiesis and associated diseases.

Studies basic concepts of microbiology with an emphasis on cell structure and function of human pathogenic microorganisms and biological specimens.
